About the course

The Skills Foundation and Proficiency awards have be designed to provide a broad introduction to essential practical skills for those undergoing training or employed in these areas of work.  Hospitality Training Group successfully delivers this awards working in partnership with different hotels and restaurants. The Skills Foundation Award provides practical skills to enable learners to undertake jobs at basic entry point.

There are two related levels:

Skills Foundation Certificate 3528-50
Skills Proficiency Certificate 3529-50
There is no amount of time a candidate would need to carry out the programme. HTG award certificates for gaining and showing skills by whatever mode of study, and not for periods of time spent in study. 

The qualification cover:

The qualification covers hospitality industry basics elements of health, safety and the food preparation.

Opportunity for progression

On completion of this qualification candidates may progress into employment as a assistant chef
